Destiny, Where Art Thou?

Hey Folks!!!

So lately, I’ve been on the search to figure out my destiny because I feel like its time for me to walk into my purpose.  I’m tired of just living life and wandering through life not understanding why I was placed here on earth. TD Jakes stated, “The gift or desire that God has wired you to express is unique to you. Others can’t understand how you do what you do, but neither can you understand how they act in their gifts” (Destiny..Step in Your Purpose). I was one of those individuals who was a bit eviness of others who knew what their purpose were and walking in their destiny. I wanted to experience this feeling of knowing what I was created to do with my life.  I felt that I was going through the motions of life. I was tired of just going through life and its daily routine.

Evertyday, I would say to myself that I would make the changes. It got to the point where I was sounding like a broken record. I need to make the change. I’ve decided that its finally time for me to get ready to walk into purpose.  I invite you guys who says that its time to walk purpose to join me on this journey. I’ll share my obstacles and challenges that I encounter. Feel free to share any of challenges so that we can encourage each other.

Fear of the unknown

Fear of the unknown can hinder us from accomplishing our goals or promises.  How many dreams, seasons or circumstances have we forgone because our fears spoke louder than our passion? Why is it that we allow our fears to be the dictator of our life? When are we going to just put aside our fears and take life by the reigns?

 

Over this weekend, I met some clients who were telling me about their goals and one of the young ladies informed me that she wanted to start her own small business. She had everything from the name of her company to logo and who she was going to target. However, her fear hindered her from proceeding with her small business.  How can we overcome our fear of the unknown? How are we going to strategically accomplish those goals and step out that box?  We need to move past our comforts of knowing and dabble in the unknown when it comes to stepping boldly into our passions.  Its sad place to be when you’re on your death bed contemplating all the things that you could have done and wish you could go back do but it’s too late.

 

 

How many of you are willing to take the plunge and step out into the unknown especially to do something that you love and are passionate about?

Goal + Effort=Success

You must work towards your goals in order for you to achieve them. If you don’t put forth the efforts then you will not achieve it. So ask yourself, have I maximize my resources and potential in achieving my goal? If not, then it’s not too late to start.  Every step is progress.

PUSH

Slow & Steady Wins the Race

Happy Thursday Beautiful People,

How many of you know that you can find a message in everything that you do or see. God speaks to us in many different facets and that is why He is so amazing. Yesterday, when I was driving to work there was this car driving in front of me and I was like, oh no this person is driving way to slow for my liking and I needed to pass them so that is exactly what I did. So I lose sight of this car and continue to drive my regular route to work. Guys, you  won’t believe who was in front of me when I got closer to my destination… thats right the same white car that I passed so couple of miles back was now in front of me. I was like this is crazy and just like that God dropped a nugget in my heart.

He said that there are going to be people in your life who pass you by because they feel that you are not going at the speed they want you. However, don’t you fret because everything happens on God’s timing and He will get there when He deems its time. He will place you ahead of those individuals who thought you were to slow and left you in the dust. However, God will never leave you or no forsake. He made us to be the head not the tail. Deuteronomy 28:13, “The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.”   So submit to God in prayer everything that we do and desire. Obey His commandments in order for these things to take place.   Check your motives to ensure that they are pure. You can’t come to God in prayer and have bad motives behind it and think He will elevate you because it doesn’t work like that with our God.  Pure heart equals favor from the Lord.

Running the good race:

Everything happens on God’s time so endure the journey. Just like that driver in white car who was going at their pace because they knew that eventually they would get to their destination despite the impatient individuals surrounding them. We must remember that even if we are slow but steady, we will overcome and win the race.  But we endure and embrace the journey that we are on and don’t rush and trust God’s perfect timing. Remember, 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” As encouragement to enduring the race and complete with the grace of the Lord through your faith and His timing.

Simple Minds Can’t Understand Your Dreams

Happy Wednesday Beautiful People,

Last week,  I was at work listening to my favorite thing in the world …….Motivational Speeches. These speeches are the best because it pushes you to strive for more and motivates you to grind toward your dreams well at least in my case it does.  So when one of the speakers said something profound that I know I had to share with you guys.  He touched on that simple minded people can’t understand your dreams. I agree with him on this matter.

 

You ever had a dream and  told someone who you thought would encourage you to follow your dreams yet you got the total opposite. They told you to give up on that dream or ridiculed you about it. They make statements like, “Why can’t you get a normal job!”or “Do something that within your norm!” “You’re  to young or old!” “You dont have knowledge or experience!” “You will never be successful!” I could list a) the types of rants that individuals use as a tactic so doubt is instill in us which leads to us not accomplishing our dreams.

I realize the reason that people say those things because simple minded people can’t understand your dreams or visions. It’s okay for them live the “Leave It to Beaver” lifestyle but don’t allow them to deter you from your dreams. This is because there are people who can’t imagine themselves doing things that you dreamed of doing or intimidated by your dream. They can’t get pass the concept of stepping out of the box and doing something that goes against their norm. Those are not the people that you need not to surround yourself with. You need to find like-minded people who will encourage you, motivate you and support you especially when it comes to making your dreams your reality. Nobody wants a Debbie Downer in their corner tearing them down about something that they are passion about.

Happy Tuesday!  Guys, when I tell you that life is amazing and I’m just loving the season that I am in.  So yesterday while at work, I wanted to start off my day listening to some motivational speeches and felt a sense of empowerment and of course get some serious motivation to strive to be a better me.  My friends, if you haven’t listened to empowerment speeches then I suggest you take a trip to Youtube and check those videos out. Valentine’s Fashion Look

Hey Beautiful People!!

Hope your President Day is going well!! I  know my day is going by greatly because I’m home relaxing after long 3 day weekend. So folks, how was the Valentine’s day? I enjoyed my day of Love. I spent my day with family and friends. I also got to style my cousin for Valentine’s Day!! So let’s get into these fashion looks!!

So I for Valentine’s Day, I decided that I was going to shop in my closet because I’m on a strict  budget so I need to financially resourceful. 

So I decided that I was going to wear my red Jennifer Lopez  dress that I got from Kohl’s last year. I paired the dress with this ruffled vest that my mom thrifted recently. I pair the look with an ankle strapped heel with gold detailing on the side. For my accessories, I add my diamond studded earrings and diamond necklace.

Now my cousin’s wanted to wear pink and white for Valentine’s Day. So we got this cute pinknshirt from Marshalls.   The jacket was gifted to her which matched the pants to a T. The pants was thrifted. We also got the shoes from Marshall. The shoes were super cute. It was reptile print ankle strap with tassel zipper on the back. She paired with floral clutch and cute diamond studded heart earrings. This outfit cost under $50 which was her budget.
